Founded in 2006, Resin is a boutique visual effects studio based in Adelaide, Australia, focussed on long form television series and film visual effects. Resin is a member of Ausfilm and has been working internationally since 2010 for studios and networks including Disney, Electronic Arts, NBC Universal, Fox Studios and Fox 21, Sony, Amazon, ABC, SBS, Roadshow, Ambience, STAN and Netflix.
Resin is structured around a core team that expands to suit a production. We pride ourselves on being able to tackle anything within the visual effects spectrum and execute to a world class standard. Our capacity allows us to take on complex sequences and asset builds in larger productions to whole of show requirements for small to medium sized productions.
Resin was awarded sole vendor on Gale Anne Hurd and Natalie Chaidez’s Hunters. We provided on-set supervision and were responsible for 800 visual effects shots over five months, including the design of signature effects for the NBC Universal show. Resin then provided CG robotics, design and effects work for Bradley Cooper’s and Fox Studios Limitless series and Natalie Chaidez’s Fox 21’s Queen of the South series. In 2017 Resin provided on set supervision in Chicago and then over 350 visual effects shots for Sony’s Philip K. Dick derived and Bryan Cranston produced science fiction anthology series, Electric Dreams and additional effects for Sony and Ben Edlund’s The Tick. In 2018 Resin completed visual effects on Shawn Seet and Geoffrey Rush’s Storm Boy. At time of writing, Resin has been appointed sole vendor on the Netflix Original and produced science fiction series, Tidelands.
We also enable exceptional financial incentive. Located in Adelaide, Australia qualifying productions have the benefit of accessing a 40% rebate on visual effects work. 30% federal and the 10% local government incentive not available anywhere else in Australia.
